AI Features

To enable faster, more robust insights, nRF Cloud includes some features that use AI capabilities. Your data is handled with care, and how it is used is documented transparently below.

How your AI data is used

Turning on nRF Cloud AI features enables transmission of your project data to our trusted AI partner for processing. Depending on the feature, this can include device-level data such as metrics, logs, traces, and issue details. This data is anonymous and is not used for training, and nRF Cloud AI features can be disabled at any time.

nRF Cloud customers are responsible for ensuring that personally identifiable information (PII) is not captured as part of their metrics or logs.

Our AI partner

nRF Cloud uses Anthropic as its AI partner.

AI features

AI capabilities are enabled for the release report summary of the software version details. More AI features are added periodically.

The nRF Cloud MCP server also lets AI assistants connect to your project and query fleet data on your behalf. For more information, see the MCP server documentation.

Enabling or disabling AI features

Admins can toggle AI features under Admin → Settings.
