Nordic nRF93M1 LTE Metrics

Overview​

The Nordic Semiconductor nRF93M1 runs pre-compiled modem firmware with commands exposed through an AT command interface.

To enable nRF Cloud to decode the LTE metrics reported by this firmware, Nordic publishes a decode file which needs to be uploaded into your nRF Cloud project.

Once the file is uploaded, LTE metrics such as PSM timer, eDRX interval, RSRP, and modem firmware version reported by your nRF93M1 devices will be decoded and available in the Metrics view. The instructions below walk through how to do this.

Downloading the Symbol File​

Check the current modem firmware version using the AT+CGMR command, example:

Uploading the Symbol File​

Using the Web App​

Navigate to Software → Symbol Files and click the "Upload Symbol File" button to upload the Symbol File you downloaded above.

Using the Memfault CLI​

Follow the instructions to install the Memfault CLI tool, then upload the Symbol File to your project:
